Terms of Service
Stamp Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 May 2026
By using Stamp — the mobile app, dashboard, or thestamp.org — you
agree to these terms. Stamp is operated by AroraLabs from
Australia and governed by Australian law. There are two user
types (customers + café owners) and the rules differ for each.
Read the part that applies to you.
1. Scope
“Stamp,” “we,” or “us” means
AroraLabs and its loyalty platform delivered via thestamp.org, the
Stamp iOS app, the Stamp Android app, and the cafe-side dashboard
served at thestamp.org/dashboard.
“You” means whoever is using Stamp — as a
Customer (collecting stamps) or as a Café Owner
(running a program). Some sections apply to both, others to one
only — each section is labelled.
2. Eligibility and accounts both
- You must be 13 or older to use Stamp.
-
You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials
safe and for everything that happens under your account.
-
You can delete your account at any time. Stamp records (the
fact that a stamp was issued at a specific café) are retained
as an audit log, but without your profile they can’t be
linked to a real person.
3. Customer terms customers
-
Stamps are issued by the café, not by Stamp. We provide the
mechanism; the café decides how many stamps a card needs and
what the reward is.
- No fraudulent stamps. Don’t request
stamps for purchases you didn’t make. Every request is
geofenced, rate-limited (1 per café per 30 min), and visible to
the barista before approval. Abuse can result in your enrolment
being removed by the café and your account being suspended.
-
A stamp is not money. It cannot be cashed out, transferred to
another customer, or carried over if the café leaves Stamp.
-
If a café you follow closes, leaves Stamp, or removes the
campaign, any unused stamps on that card are forfeited. We
don’t reimburse stamps.
4. Café owner terms café owners
-
You’re responsible for the rewards you promise. When a
customer’s card hits the target you must honour the
reward unless the customer obviously gamed the system (e.g.
repeated requests from outside the café).
-
You may pause or delete a campaign. Customers with in-progress
cards on a paused campaign keep their stamps until the campaign
is deleted; deletion removes the campaign permanently.
- Customer data is for running your café’s loyalty
program, full stop. You will not export, share, or use
customer names, photos, or activity for any other purpose
(newsletter blasts, third-party marketing, on-sale, etc.).
-
If you run a prize draw (see
/dashboard when the feature is live):
you are the operator of that draw. You’re responsible for
any permits or licences required in your state (e.g. NSW/ACT/SA
trade-promotion lottery permits) and for honouring the prize.
Stamp provides the mechanism; you operate the promotion.
-
Free tier limits, Pro and Premium pricing, and the features
included in each tier are documented at
thestamp.org and may change with 30 days’
notice. Paid subscriptions are non-refundable for the current
billing period.
-
You authorise Stamp to send transactional emails to your
customers on your behalf (verification, password reset, stamp
push notifications). We will not market to your customers.
5. Service availability both
Stamp is provided “as is.” We aim for high uptime but
do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Stamp depends on Google
Firebase, Apple/Google push services, and your device’s
connectivity — outages in any of those can affect Stamp.
We may update or change Stamp at any time. Substantial changes
(price, feature removal, data-handling changes) will be flagged
in-app and via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
6. Intellectual property
The Stamp name, logo, marketing site, and apps are owned by
AroraLabs. The café’s name, logo, and reward copy belong to
the café — by listing them in Stamp the café grants us a licence
to display them inside the apps.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, AroraLabs is
not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss
arising from your use of Stamp. Nothing in these terms limits
rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be
excluded.
8. Termination
You can stop using Stamp at any time. We may suspend or terminate
access if you breach these terms — for customers, that’s
typically fraudulent stamp requests; for café owners, that’s
misusing customer data or running illegal promotions. We’ll
give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to remedy where
possible.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales,
Australia. Any dispute will be resolved in NSW courts unless
another forum is required by the Australian Consumer Law.
